SVT was engaged by Jackson County Medical Center to provide a solution to support critical communications for the 178 beds in the facility to replace an aging system. SVT’s provided a turn key solution including the design, procurement, installation, programming and project management to successfully deliver the project. Each room received call cords at each bed location, and 2 pull cords in the bathrooms as well as a staff console. SVT ran cabling, completed terminations and installed all equipment in each room as well as the programming for the nurse call PC housed in the equipment rack.

In addition SVT’s engagement was expanded by the customer to provide a nurse call system an additional 16 total rooms. Each room received a dome light outside the room and a patient station as well as a Curbell pillow speaker with TV and volume control as well as a staff console inside the room. Two pull cords were installed in the bathrooms.

The system was also upgraded to provide reporting of system calls from rooms and time-to-answer. SVT programmed the reporting tools onto the pc and provided training to end user on how to pull the required data and reports.
